Even though we’re a few months away from the next iPhone launch, some reports and rumours are already up on the web, suggesting what the next iPhone could be. The latest reports indicate that the iPhone 14 Pro models may come with a punch-hole display. Multiple reports also suggest that the iPhones might come with a USB-C port, ditching the lightning port. iPhones haven’t moved beyond the 12-megapixel sensors, but that is changing next year as the latest report from MacRumors suggest that the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max may come with a 48-megapixel camera.

As per the report, the new Pro models may offer a triple-camera setup on the back where there might be a 48-megapixel wide lens, alongside a 12-megapixel ultra-wide and a telephoto lens.

Back in April this year, the same was claimed by TF International Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, who went further to say that the new iPhone 14 Pro models may support 8K video recording. However, the report by MacRumors is a result of a note shared by Jeff Pu with Haitong International Securities and he expects that the iPhone 14 Pro models will not just see a big upgrade in terms of camera, but these models will also come with up to 8GB of RAM, instead of 6GB RAM being used on iPhone 13 Pro models.

In terms of storage, all the new iPhone 14 models may come with a starting 64GB storage, according to the analyst. However, there is some kind of confusion regarding the refresh rate of the displays. Pu claims that all the iPhone 14 models will offer a 120Hz display, whereas, others claim that the 120Hz display would be reserved only for the Pro models and the standard models will stick to a 60Hz refresh rate.

As of now, there is no clarity over the precise specifications, but this time Apple may really decide to upgrade its camera after a long time while emphasizing the refresh rate as well, to match the flagship Android phones.
